Georgie’s Vows
It's easy, on days like today to think that love is all grand gestures. The kind we see in films and hear about in love songs. The sunrises, sunsets, drama and fireworks.
And actually, I have realised the real enviable love in this life is the consistent kind. The no matter what, the mundane, the continued, the every single day.
Brian, you have given me the unwavering love that I never knew I needed. You have given me a life and family that is more than I have ever dreamed was real.
Later we will dance to our first song, which we had picked before we knew the translation, but how fitting the words are;
It reads,

You are the only one who has taught me how to love
And appreciate life
To feel hurt and to feel joy
Feelings that come from loving you,
Situations can change,

But our love for each other stays the same,

Georgie, my best friend, my teammate, and now my wife.
It is safe to say that you are the strongest person I have ever met, with your will, your drive but also you beat most guys in an arm wrestle.
During the last 12 years together, there have been ups and downs, but the one thing that's never changed was that we've always been a team.
We started navigating the big scary world together from a young age, even adding a third member to the team, and as a result have grown next to each other, not losing sight of each others interests and hobbies.
The person you are today is generous, kind, honest, driven and inspirational. I use these qualities, your qualities, as a benchmark for what I want to become. You motivate me to be better, and I hope I can do the same for you for the rest of our lives.
l will be by your side every single year when we inevitably set bigger dreams and goals and continue to surpass them. I love what you have done for me, I love what you have given me, and I love you
